Benzene is a sweet-smelling, clear liquid that occurs naturally in the environment at non-toxic levels.  It is found in a wide range of manmade products, and considered by the EPA to be a class-A carcinogen.  Benzene has recently been associated with increased risk for developing AML Lukemia.

Exposure to toxic amounts of Benzene can come from solvents, detergents, plastics, synthetic fibers, dyes, rubber, resins, and paint to name a few of the everyday places Benzene can be found. 
Those most at-risk for dangerous Benzene exposure are workers in the petroleum industry, chemical or refinery workers; those in the printing or leather industries, painters, and gas distributors. 

Benzene is known for a number of serious health problems; most of them are linked with other types of Leukemia.  These health problems include:
