Town leaders in Stoughton, Easton and Raynham may still be officially opposed to the proposed commuter rail line from Stoughton. But they have moved from outright resistance to fighting for “mitigation” measures, such as new fire stations and road improvements, to reduce the impact of the train on their towns. However, environmentalists continue to oppose the project.
