The discovery that the MV Princess of the Stars was carrying the toxic pesticide endosulfan when it set sail has prompted the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) to suspend search, rescue and retrieval operations in the area where it sank on June 21 at the height of Typhoon "Frank" (international codename: Fengshen).
